In Memory of Lilly

We were saddened to hear of the passing of legendary Lilly Pulitzer over the weekend.
She was 21 when she eloped with Peter Pulitzer. They escaped the hustle and bustle of New York City for the sun and sand of Palm Beach. In the shadow of Peter's citrus groves, Lilly opened a juice stand. To disguise the juice stains on her clothing, she had a sleeveless dress made from colorfully printed cotton. And thus began her story.
Later in her life, Lilly expanded her career into the design business with fabrics and trims as colorful and happy as her well known shift dress.

Two of Lilly's showrooms.

All the fabrics in a Lilly room.

A cute preppy office.

A cozy nook.

Did you know that Lilly always hides her signature in every print?

Thank you Lilly for all the happiness you gave to so many.
